The reason more people may be around Ben Hill is because of the raunchy smell of the area and the nasty fact that it could collapse at any moment since it was built in 1930. Compare it to good baseball parks and its like the Astrodome … where as its old and crappy but the Stros finally had the sense to build a new place to play but the Gators think its still ok where as doak has a reminiscence of Wrigley or Fenway with traditional brick and mortar that actually matches the surroundings and though has a classic feel has updated exterior walls of perfection and solid views from anywhere in the stadium.

You must have selective memory as well … remember Ron Zook? Yeah we’ll you guys were worse then than we are now and whats funny is the whole argument calling us corrupt when the Gators had a rapist play DB for them for a whole season before he got charged and have more player felonies than any other major program since you personal hero coach showed up.

First, let’s attempt to understand one another-this blog is for fun and I appreciate your reading and participation. Now, let’s move on to more substantive matters.

First, Florida’s only loss last year was to a 10-win team which handily beat TT in its bowl game and is ranked in the top 10 heading into this season. Second, your assertion that Florida will soon “ascend into mediocrity” is nonsensical. SNL assumes you meant that Florida will soon descend into mediocrity.

You see, ascend connotes an upward movement i.e. John is ascending the corporate ladder and should make VP soon. Conversely, descend indicates movement downward i.e. FSU has descended into irrelevance in the CFB world.

I look forward to the season but will have to bill you if I’m forced constantly give you remedial English tutorials.

Sure FSU has its issues but most are because its tough to move on from the best coach in the history of college sports, it takes more time to move out a legend than some asshole like spurrier who ran his mouth too much or an underachieving Zook. When we get Jimbo in place and your entire team, alias TT, leaves then your ascent into mediocrity will resume. It was a nice run Gators and nicer if Utah or Texas played for the Championship since they didn’t lose to an unranked team, well nicer in my opinion anyway.

SNL is not only not “blinded” by hate, but has a fondness for FSU in general. That said Doak Campbell’s remodeling is akin to the 50 something housewife who attempts to remake herself with a cosmetic procedure or two. Sure, in certain outfits and certain lighting, she looks 10 years younger. But when the clothes come off, its easy to see that the procedures can only do so much. Such is the case with DC. The brick sarong is thin veneer that does little but sheathe the same rickety structure that was there before.

By any objective measure, The Swamp is a better stadium, but who cares, there’s usually few people around (Doak Campbell) on game day anyway.

Let’s concern ourselves with FSU’s wins and losses-Id be willing to tell everyone within earshot that FSU’s stadium is better if the ‘Noles can beat UM and BYU to improve Florida’s SOS.

crappy stadium? are you sure you’re thinking of Doak Campbell? we’ve got one of the prettiest stadiums in the south. the whole thing is cased in beautiful red brick and has nice accents like the glass clock and university seal. you’d have to be incredibly ignorant and blinded by hate to think ben hill griffin looks nicer than doak campbell.

Ahh, so many reasons to hate FSU. Most recently is that Bobby Bowden appears to be morphing into Darth Sidious with his dark hoodie and baggy eyes. Evil Empire indeed.

(And yes I’ve been trying to complete my comparison by tying Tebow in with Luke Skywalker somehow, but to no avail)
